Is Role Playing an Effective Teaching Method especially in situation of integrated teaching?

Meaning of Roleplay:  Role play is a technique that allows students to explore realistic situations by interacting with other people in a managed way in order to develop experience and trial different strategies in a supported environment.

Importance of Role Play:  Role play will give children the skills to handle problematic social interactions, such as bullying, which may happen as they progress through life. When children engage in role playing it helps to develop their way of thinking and helps them to develop feelings of empathy.

What is Role play in English: One of the staples of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teaching is the role play. Role plays are used to allow students to practice speaking in a conversational situation, build confidence and fluency, assess progress, and put learning into action.

Is Role Playing an Effective Teaching Method:  Role-playing activities help introduce student to “real-world” situations. Role-playing is an effective teaching method and should be used to help actively engage students in their learning.

Anchor

King

Minister

Deer

Anchor– anchor has to set the context and start the act.

(सूत्रधार को वातावरण का निर्माण करना है और मंचन की शुरुआत करवानी है)

Once upon a time, there was a King and his Minister. One day King told to his Minister—

बहुत पहले की बात है एक रजा और एक मंत्री हुआ करते थे एक दिन राजा ने मंत्री से कहा

 The King -“Minister let us go for hunting into dense forest”

( मंत्री जी चलो घने जंगल में शिकार के  लिए चलते हैं )

Minister– yes your highness!

हाँ महाराज !!

एंकर -And they went for hunting. After spending some time in the forest, the king asked his minister

( और वे दोनों शिकार के लिए चले गए . जंगल में  कुछ समय के पश्चात, राजा ने अपने मंत्री से कहा )

King– Minister I am thirsty. Get me some water

मंत्री  मुझे प्यास लगी है  मेरे लिए पानी लाओ

Minister – your highness I don’t find water all around

महाराज हमारे चारों ओर पानी कहीं नहीं है.

King- If I do not get water then I will die

यदि मुझे पानी नहीं मिला तो मै मर जाऊंगा

Anchor– All of sudden what minister sees that a group of deer were passing by and an idea clicked in the mind of minister?

अचानक मंत्री को एक हिरनों का समूह आता हुआ दिखाई दिया और मंत्री को एक युक्ति सूझ गई !!!

Minister– Your highness I have got the water.

महाराज मुझे पानी मिल गया

Then minister holds a deer and puts plenty of salts in the mouth of deer. Then deer gets thirsty and minster leaves it. The deer runs fast to the site of river to drink the water. King and minister followed it to take the water.

तब मंत्री ने एक हिरन को पकड़ लिया और उसके मुह में ढेर सारा नमक डाल दिया  तब नमक को खाने से हिरन को बहुत जोर की प्यास लगी और फिर मंत्री ने उसे छोड़ दिया .हिरन प्यास के मारे जोर से पानी की तलाश में नदी की ओर भागा. राजा और मंत्री ने उसका पीछा किया और नदी के पास पहुंचकर राजा ने अपनी प्यास बुझाई .

Summing up by the anchor asks several questions in whole larger group. Such as-

सूत्रधार कहानी को अछे से समापन करे व् बड़े समूह में कुछ प्रश्न करे जैसे

How was the act? मंचन कैसा लगा ?

Did you like it? क्या आपको पसंद आया

What did you like? क्या क्या पसंद आया

Task for group 1 –( oral language development) Identify the characters of act. What new words have you heard in the act?

समूह 1 के लिए योजना- मंचन के पत्रों के नाम बताएं व् कौन से शब्द आपने पहली बार सुने

Task for group 2- give assignment of writing the new words to the children. Give task to write meaning.

समूह दो के लिए _ नए शब्दों को लिखे व् अर्थ जाने
